Whether doctors, nurses, consultants etc you're all welcome in here.

If you use an email address ending with .nhs.uk then the forum should pick that up and automatically assign you with a NHS Staff badge, and automatically then grant you access to this area of the forum.

Although while I'm setting up the place, you may find you can post anywhere, and forum staff (moderators and administrators) will move the thread to a more suitable forum.

Thanks for reading, keep up the good work.

I've now added quite a few forums and areas and configured staff/patient account differences so each have their own area and don't automatically mix everywhere. There are some forums available to all though so please get along.

No verbal abuse will be accepted at all.

No asking staff questions unless they've said they are here to contribute to general health related threads.

Budget cuts to local services fell disproportionately on care for obese patients, leading to ‘postcode lottery’

The NHS is restricting access to obesity services across England, leading to patients in nearly half the country being unable to book appointments with specialist teams for support and treatments such as weight-loss jabs.

An investigation by the British Medical Journal found budget cuts to local services fell disproportionately on obesity care, with patients living with the condition often deemed less worthy of care than others.
